What is the WiseUp to Switching Off Digital Detox Journal?

WiseUp to Switching Off is a counterintuitive approach to breaking teen screen addiction, that allows you to help your teenager naturally reduce their screen time by up to 5 hours daily, sleep better, focus longer, and reconnect with real-world activities without confiscating devices, setting rigid time limits, or engaging in daily power struggles.

We achieve this by guiding teens through a self-directed 30-day transformation program that makes THEM want to unplug without nagging, surveillance apps, or forced restrictions that breed resentment and sneaking.

And as a result...this frees you up to enjoy peaceful family dinners, have actual conversations with your teen, and watch them naturally choose books, hobbies, and face-to-face friendships over endless scrolling - this is the WiseUp to Switching Off Digital Detox Journal.

WiseUp to Switching Off is a shortcut

Before I created the WiseUp to Switching Off Digital Detox Journal - my co-founder & Wife Alexandra and I were struggling with helping young people develop resilience and real-world skills for years through our outdoor education programs.

We were working directly with over 400,000 students, watching them struggle with anxiety, shortened attention spans, and an inability to connect face-to-face. We'd deliver amazing team-building experiences, but then students would return to their screens and lose everything they'd gained.

I got myself a deal I never signed up for.

We thought we were just fighting against video games and social media. But we were actually battling a dopamine-driven addiction that was rewiring teenage brains - making them anxious, depressed, and unable to focus on anything that didn't provide instant stimulation.

Which led me to questioning everything and eventually turning the entire approach upside down - instead of MORE outdoor activities, MORE restrictions, and MORE parental control... we needed to help teens understand their OWN brains and give them the tools to CHOOSE differently.

We broke all the rules by putting the power in the teenager's hands, not the parent's.

After several years of trial-and-error, testing everything with real students in real schools, and figuring things out the hard way - without anyone guiding us through teen psychology and addiction science - we've finally reached a point where we've helped thousands of students naturally reduce screen time, improve grades, reduce anxiety, and reconnect with life beyond the screen.

Now, you have the opportunity to duplicate the entire WiseUp to Switching Off system I built by downloading a £10 journal called WiseUp to Switching Off Digital Detox Journal

The difference? The old way tries to CONTROL your teen from the outside. The new way empowers them to CHOOSE differently from the inside.

Here's What This Means for You and Your Family

Every peaceful, connected family is built on one thing and one thing only - mutual trust, open communication, and teens who are present, focused, and engaged in real life...

...And teen mental health and focus is largely based on their relationship with technology and their ability to self-regulate screen time.

Self-regulation is also the most significant challenge a family will face in its quest for raising confident, academically successful, socially skilled teenagers who can navigate the digital world without being consumed by it...

...That's why we developed the WiseUp to Switching Off model to allow you to help your teen naturally reduce screen addiction and reclaim their focus, sleep, and mental health (while achieving balance between technology use and real-world experiences)...

...And in turn, turn those improved sleep patterns, sharper focus, reduced anxiety, and stronger social connections into better grades, genuine friendships, family harmony, and a confident young adult ready to thrive in life.

How far your teen transforms is up to them but you're giving them the proven roadmap.

James L, London

Dad to a Teen Boy

“We’ve tried a few things to help our son switch off, but this was the first resource that actually spoke his language without being patronising. Simple, clear and practical. He’s been sleeping better since starting it. Worth every penny”

Martin K, Liverpool

Father of Twins

“The layout’s brilliant, not too cluttered, easy for them to follow and actually encourages them to take a break without a full blown row. It’s helped us start conversations we didn’t know how to have before. Can’t fault it, really”

Claire H, Leeds

Mum to a Teen Girl

“Such a thoughtful resource. My daughter tends to bottle things up, but she’s opened up a bit more since starting this. She even asked me to pick up a second copy for her best mate. It’s made a real difference in how she handles her downtime.”

Sarah W , Manchester

Mum of Two

“Honestly, I didn’t expect my 14 year old to engage with this, but she’s actually using it and even said it’s 'not cringe', which in teenager terms is practically a five star review. It’s helped her step back from the screen a bit and wind down in the evenings. Really impressed. I’ve recommended it to my sister already.”

Nadia R, Bristol

Mum of One

“Absolutely loved the tone of this journal. It doesn’t lecture it gently guides. My daughter’s anxiety has been creeping up lately with school and socials, but this gave her a safe space to slow down and reflect. She’s using it before bed now and we’ve noticed a real difference in her mood.”
